Cette anche sonnait assez bien et elle était très facile. Trop facile. Du coup elle avait tendance à être fermée.
Un peu de téflon autour. Je sais que cela a tendance à la fermer également mais ça maintiendra les lames bien en place et donnera un peu de rondeur au son. Mise en place d’un collier. Ensuite, retouche de la pointe pour l’alléger plus un léger passage sur l’épine et l’anche s’ouvrira un peu plus.
Au final une anche qui devient jouable et reste assez agréable. Les nuances sont possibles et l’anche est assez stable pour une musique assez mélodique. Pour un répertoire plus exigeant elle ne tiendra pas la route. C’est ce que j’appelle une « anche d’un soir », une anche pour se faire plaisir alors qu’on était à deux doigts de la jeter. 😅
This reed sounded pretty good and it was very easy. Too easy. So it tended to be closed.
A bit of teflon around it. I know it tends to close it as well but it will keep the blades in place and give a little roundness to the sound. Putting a collar in place. Then, retouch the tip to lighten it plus a slight passage on the spine and the reed will open a little more.
In the end a reed that becomes playable and remains quite pleasant. The nuances are possible and the reed is stable enough for a rather melodic music. For a more demanding repertoire it will not hold up.
This is what I call a « one-night reed », a reed to please oneself when one was close to throwing it away. 😅
